Terms of Use
Last updated: August 26, 2026These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions on which Masahiro Senda (the “Operator”) provides Annoshot (the “App”).
Anyone who uses the App (a “User”) does so having agreed to these Terms.
1. Licence
Subject to these Terms, the Operator grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App.
Purchasing the App does not transfer to the User any copyright or other intellectual property right in it.
Where a licence carries limits on the number of devices or users, those limits are shown on the App’s product or purchase page.
2. Prohibited conduct
In using the App, the User must not:
- act unlawfully or contrary to public order and morals;
- improperly transfer, sell, lend or redistribute the App to a third party;
- circumvent licence activation or any other usage restriction;
- infringe the rights of the Operator or of a third party;
- gain unauthorised access to the App or a related system, or interfere with its normal operation.
3. Intellectual property
Copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights in the programs, text, images, designs and other content of the App and its related website belong to the Operator or to their rightful owner.
Except for the licence granted by these Terms, no such right is transferred or licensed to the User.
The App and its related website may show screenshots, images or logos of third-party applications or websites in order to explain features or how the App is used. The copyright, trademarks and other rights in that material belong to their respective owners.
If any such use raises a rights issue, please write to the contact address below. It will be reviewed and addressed as needed.
4. Updates and support
The Operator may release updates to the App to fix defects or improve it.
Except where expressly stated, this is not a guarantee of perpetual updates, new features or support.
Changes to the OS, to hardware or to the wider environment may make part or all of the App unusable.
The Operator may also, on reasonable grounds, discontinue sales, updates or support for the App.
5. Data
Users are responsible for backing up the data the App creates, edits or stores, as they see fit.
Except where the law imposes liability, the Operator is not liable for loss of or damage to data arising from use of the App.
6. Warranty and liability
The Operator does not warrant that the App is free of defects, that it works correctly in every environment, or that it is fit for a User’s particular purpose.
Except in cases of the Operator’s wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and except where liability cannot be limited by law, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the App, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Changes to these Terms
The Operator may amend these Terms as necessary, in accordance with the law.
Material changes will be announced on the website or by other appropriate means.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
If the Japanese text and a translation differ, the Japanese text prevails.
